Take a minute is a cross-platform wellbeing application designed to deliver personalised behavioural health challenges and reflections to individuals and organisations. We engineered the platform end-to-end using Expo and React Native, enabling a single, unified codebase to power both iOS and Android while ensuring a fast, responsive and consistent user experience.

The backend was built on Supabase, providing a scalable, secure foundation for authentication, relational data storage, media handling, and real-time interactions. We designed a structured data model to support personalised challenge delivery, user-generated content, and longitudinal wellbeing tracking, while implementing secure access controls to protect sensitive user data and enable organisation-level features such as aggregated insights.

AI was utilised to generate statements based on user input, highlighting a good use-case for integrative AI to create context-based output.

The system was architected using a modular approach, allowing the frontend and backend to evolve independently and supporting future integrations and feature expansion. This architecture ensures the platform can scale reliably as adoption grows, while remaining maintainable, performant, and adaptable over time.
