To celebrate their 100th birthday, Royal Automobile Club of Tasmania (RACT) asked us to create a website that told the story of their rich history and showcased how they've been helping Tasmanians for an entire century.

Working with an established and esteemed brand within the Tasmanian community, we relished the opportunity to design and build something immersive and intriguing — an interactive timeline that takes their users on a journey through the last 100 years of RACT.

The brief from RACT expressed, “We want this website to feel alive when users are interacting with it”.

The final product is a rich collection of historical memorabilia and stories that flow through time in a digital archive. Variations in scroll speed and direction have been cleverly used to surprise and delight visitors, guiding them on a journey through time. Layered imagery is combined with beautiful parallax effects to create depth. We pulled out all our tricks to make this website truly memorable!
